Geography

Ellis Grove is located at 38°0'37" North, 89°54'29" West (38.010394, -89.908123).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.2 km2 (0.5 mi2). 1.2 km2 (0.5 mi2) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there were 381 people, 145 households, and 102 families residing in the village. The population density was 319.8/km2 (819.4/mi2). There were 149 housing units at an average density of 125.1/km2 (320.4/mi2). The racial makeup of the village was 99.21% White, 0.00% African American, 0.26% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.52% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
